  1.     Pluto is the planet of great change, latent power and untapped 
  2. potential. Expressed in its positive form, Pluto may change your life 
  3. forever with a blinding insight or personal transformation. Pluto fills 
  4. you with a need to lead others and change the world or at least your part 
  5. in it; it urges you to make discoveries or uncover the secrets of the 
  6. past.
  7.     If Pluto is afflicted (at odds with another planet in your horoscope), 
  8. Pluto's influence results in a controlling nature and opens the door for 
  9. treachery, sadism, and violence.

  11.     Pluto is the ninth (and last?) planet from the Sun and was discovered 
  12. in 1930 by American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh after a 25 year search 
  13. inaugurated by fellow American astronomer Percival Lowell who 
  14. predicted its approximate location based on perturbations in the orbit 
  15. of Uranus.
  16.     More than 3.67 billion miles from the Sun, Pluto requires 247.7 years 
  17. to complete its orbit. Because its orbit is so elliptical, Pluto is 
  18. currently closer to the Sun than Neptune is. The earth is 250 times more 
  19. massive than Pluto, and its diameter is 5.55 times greater.
  20.     Only visible through extremely powerful telescopes, Pluto's Moon, 
  21. Charon, wasn't discovered until 1978.

  23.     In Roman mythology, Pluto was the god of the dead and assisted his 
  24. brothers, Jupiter and Neptune, in overthrowing their father, Saturn. 
  25. Pluto became the ruler of the underworld and the dead. Pluto was 
  26. associated with the Greek god, Hades.
